Agreement to Terms

By enrolling in music lessons with Hannah D Music, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before beginning lessons.

Lesson Services

Services Provided

Hannah D Music offers private beginner music lessons in piano, guitar, and ukulele for students ages 5 and up (children, teens, and adults). Lessons are conducted at my home studio location in Provo, UT.

Scheduling and Attendance

Regular Lesson Schedule

Lessons are scheduled weekly at a consistent day and time. We make every effort to accommodate your preferred schedule based on availability.

Student Absences

We understand that life happens. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

• 24-Hour Notice: If you provide at least 24 hours' notice of cancellation, you will receive a makeup lesson to be scheduled within the same month
• Same-Day Cancellation: Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged at the full lesson rate with no makeup lesson offered
• No-Shows: Students who do not show up for their scheduled lesson without notice will be charged the full lesson rate
• Emergency Situations: We understand emergencies happen and will work with you on a case-by-case basis

Instructor Absences

If we need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, we will provide as much advance notice as possible and offer a makeup lesson at no additional charge.

Payment Terms

Lesson Rates

Current lesson rates are:

• 30-minute lesson: $35
• 45-minute lesson: $50
• 60-minute lesson: $65

Rates are subject to change with 30 days' written notice.

Payment Schedule

Payment is due at the beginning of each month for all lessons scheduled that month. We accept cash, check, Venmo, or Zelle.

Late Payments

If payment is more than 7 days overdue, lessons may be suspended until payment is received in full.

Student Responsibilities

Students are expected to:

• Arrive on time for scheduled lessons
• Bring required materials (music books, instrument if applicable)
• Practice between lessons as recommended by the instructor
• Treat the instructor and studio with respect
• Notify the instructor of any concerns or questions

Studio Policies

Parent/Guardian Presence

For students under 12, we recommend a parent or guardian remain on the premises during the lesson. Parents are welcome to observe lessons or wait in the designated waiting area.

Instruments

Piano students will use the studio piano. Guitar and ukulele students should bring their own instrument to lessons. We can provide guidance on purchasing an appropriate instrument for beginners.

Materials and Books

Students are responsible for purchasing recommended method books and materials. We will provide guidance on what to purchase based on your skill level and goals.

Termination of Lessons

Either party may terminate the lesson arrangement at any time with 2 weeks' written notice. Any prepaid lessons will be refunded on a prorated basis.

Liability

Hannah D Music takes reasonable care to ensure the safety of all students. However, students and parents/guardians acknowledge that participation in music lessons involves some inherent risks. By enrolling, you agree to release Hannah D Music from liability for any injuries or damages that may occur during lessons, except in cases of gross negligence.

Photo/Video Release

Occasionally, we may take photos or videos for promotional purposes (website, social media, etc.). We will obtain explicit consent before using any images of students. You may opt out at any time.

Intellectual Property

All teaching materials, handouts, and original content provided by Hannah D Music are for personal use only and may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared without permission.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Significant changes will be communicated to current students via email. Continued enrollment after changes are announced constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
